- 2019
In 2019 Free Home has been invited to expand the learning through our artistic approach, and reinforce community ties within the school, the neighborhood and the social fabric of the city.
To reach younger learners in their formative years, to contribute to their curiosity, their personal and collective quests, to collaborate with their teachers in widening the imagination, experimenting with creative ways of knowing, exploring more actively social issues and engaging in embodied practices - is a wonderful new challenge and a great opportunity for our own on-going learning journey!
Thriving to bring together art, pedagogy, and community, Free Home goes back to school, reclaiming the learning in both formal and informal environments, questioning issues of emplacement and displacement, spaces of inclusion and exclusion, starting from our bodies, interrogating our ways of seeing and our privileges.
The program will include workshops, student-led research, and activities, focus groups with teachers around inclusive, horizontal, and alternative pedagogies, a series of talks and seminars on human and environmental rights, on the production of knowledge in the age of fake news, walks into the city, and a final festival to celebrate our knowledge.

Esplorazioni del Reale Lab
MUUD, a collective of filmmakers who explore reality through a poetic lens, lead a workshop on documentary filmmaking to let stories emerge from the students and their inquiries in the 167 B neighborhood, where the Banzi High School is located. After an introduction of the audio-visual language, a phase of research and script-writing, the students will produce some video-diaries and share them with the school community.
The results of both three-month-long Laboratories were presented to the public on the first day of the festival Corpi+AntiCorpi at the end of the scholastic semester and the year 2019.
