Mia D. Suppiej
Mia D. Suppiej (Arzignano, 1988) is an installation-voice-text-video-audio based practicing artist. She explores the field of fitness training (gestures and landscapes) and the language (sound and imagination) as a daily and common practice and landscape. She interrogates the interactions (verbal ~ gestural) between one or more subjects observing in the folds of the taken for granted, of the useless, the unattractive. By articulating the sociological research methodology with the visual and linguistic references of pop culture, she questions systems of power and beliefs.
After studying Visual Arts at the IUAV University of Venice, Sociology and Social Research at the University of Trento and Arts et Languages at the EHESS in Paris, from 2017 Mia is based in Bologna where he collaborates with the Educational Department of the MAMbo Museum. From 2018 he activated PRONTISSIMI, a radio artist run space that proposes a format of radio shows every two months inside Radio City Fujiko FM 103.1 and collaborates in the communication and marketing office of La Perla.

Interroga le interazioni (verbali ~ gestuali) tra uno o più soggetti osservando tra le pieghe del dato per scontato, dell’inutile o del non attraente. Articolando la metodologia di ricerca sociologica con le referenze visive e linguistiche della cultura pop, interroga i sistemi di potere e le credenze.
Dopo aver studiato Arti Visive presso l’Università IUAV di Venezia, Sociologia e Ricerca Sociale presso l’Università di Trento e Arts et Langages presso l’EHESS di Parigi, dal 2017 ha base a Bologna dove collabora con il Dipartimento Educativo del Museo MAMbo. Dal 2018 ha attivato PRONTISSIMI, un radio artist run space che propone un format di mostre radiofoniche a cadenza bimestrale all'interno di Radio Città Fujiko FM 103.1 e collabora nell'ufficio comunicazione e marketing di La Perla.
