Free Home is excited to be part of the 4th Global Ecoversities Gathering that is taking place in CIET, Michoacan, Mexico.
Bringing together more than 100 participants involved in the alternative, generative, holistic, context-based formal and informal educational programs from Zimbabwe to New Zealand; from India to Brazil; from Pakistan and Egypt - to Chile and Peru, and of course - many communities in Mexico.
An amazing constellation of knowledges, practices, projects seeking to reimagine a more just and eco-sustainable education for all. The hosting team has woven an 8 days program to deepen our relationships to the land and territory, the connections with the ancestors (we are lucky to be here for Los Dia del los Muertos) bringing together different lineages and traditions, that include practices of healing; recovery of lost languages; spirituality and politics of memory; indigenous ceremonies and concerns about the state of the planet, - in a dense yet open space in the mountains of Michoacan.
After the gathering, a learning trip will take some participants for a week-long series of visits to the most vibrant autonomous education centers in the South of the country.
